December 13, 2023-- The Anderson County Clinton City Retired Teachers' Association gathered at the Apple Blossom Restaurant in Clinton on December 13 for their annual Christmas luncheon and auction to benefit their scholarship fund. After a good lunch and even better desserts, the auction began among much hilarity. The event raised $1353, but those who were unable to attend were asked to make additional donations in the hopes that the total $1500 might be raised without having to use monies from the reserve fund. The event was deemed a success, both from its earnings and the fun and fellowship engendered among members.
