A message from the president:
TRTA is an organization of like-minded individuals who truly see themselves as a part of a greater whole. Very few people accomplish great things by themselves. TRTA provides me (and you) an opportunity to improve the quality of life for those who have devoted themselves to the education of our young people. TRTA provides an avenue of influence over the legislative process available no other way. The benefits we enjoy in retirement today were earned by the efforts of those who preceded us. Membership in TRTA insures that those who succeed us will enjoy similar or better benefits in their retirement years. --
TRTA is a unified organization affiliated with NEA-Retired and Local Retired Associations throughout Tennessee.
- The membership year is from July 1 of any given year to June 30 of the following year.
- Unified membership is required for all persons wishing to join if they retired after August of 1992.
- Unified means you must belong to NEA-Retired, TRTA and your Local retired association.
Unified Membership Dues:
NEA-Retired Life-Time Membership $200 One time payment that requires annual membership in TRTA and Local RTA
NEA-Retired Annual Membership $ 25
TRTA Annual Membership $ 20
Local RTA Annual Membership determined by locals
